I feel lost. - May 10th 2011, 02:58 AM

This thread has been labeled as triggering, particularly on the subject of self harm, by the original poster or by a Moderator. The contents of this thread might therefore not be suitable for certain sensitive users. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

I've been trying to "tough it out" with my new medication (Saphris, a mood stabilizer/antipsychotic), but it didn't work out. I was on Abilify but still had manic episodes while on that. I feel like I'm running out of options, and in the meantime, I'm not getting any better. Today I had a huge anxiety attack and the only thing that got me through it was cutting.

I feel like there's nothing else for me to try.

Talking to your doctor about the medicine and being experimented on while trying to find the right medicine might be the last thing on your mind but only he/she can help you find the right medicine to help you with your anxiety and manic episodes.

Honestly, I'm against medications like that. Once I was taking about 1000 milligrams of Depakote for 4 days, and that was the first time I had ever ran away. Mine was for depression and bi-polar disorder. Honestly, I would say that although cutting isn't safe, it can be a pretty good substitute, depending on where you cut. You have to be extremely careful where you cut, because suicide is never good for you, or others around you. Either way, I would suggest not being on any type of anti-depressant. They just increase your suicide thoughts, especially in teenagers. Only because our bodies aren't meant for those types of chemicals.

Kiss me, lovely

Then walk away
Hug me tightly, beautiful
Then leave me.

My klonopin is luckily a miracle! Anxiety is good when I take that.
