Unhappy Raging Hormonal Freak.! - May 27th 2011, 05:21 PM

This thread has been labeled as triggering by the original poster or by a Moderator. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

HUPIFENGE6854E[N FP GPIFD;YT89 - is exactly how I feel. !
For the past couple of days I have been nothing but a raging hormonal freak and I'm sick of it! One minute, I'll be fine, then the next I'll be bawling my eyes out for no reason, and then the next I'll so pissed off at myself for being such a fucking baby.
i.just.want.it.to.stop.

Please help me. I don't know what to do! I can't think straight at all!
I'm just so confused, I'm about to just break into pieces.

Hey Fallon,

Maybe you should talk to your family doctor. There are different ways to help, whether it be support groups aimed for teens, getting on birth control to regulate hormones (it's not weird, I knew a girl in 7th grade, never had sex, on birth control for an irregular period), or whatever else they can think of.

If you don't want to involve your family doctor, you could see a counselor at school, or even talk to your parents about a therapist/counselor, to try and help you cope with these hormonal swings.

I know Julz. We already talked to my doctor but she hasn't called the people yet. -____-

I think it's good that you talked to your family doctor, and I know the waiting can be so irritating. Doctors take forever!
But just try to think positive and find things that can keep your mind busy, until you hear back from your doctor.
Distracting yourself with other things can be a good way to get your mind off of how you're feeling.

Make sure to mention that it's still affecting you though, so she will get a better sense of urgency for the situation.

But in teenagers, a vast majority of the time it is. Fallon is 12, so the idea of hormones is more reasonable than diagnosing something that would need drugs.

If her doctor feels that it's more than just her hormones, then they'd send her to somebody else, like a therapist or a psych. Until then, it's safe for her to feel that it's a hormonal thing.

Keep in mind that pre-teens/teenagers have insane fluctuating hormones. In fact, almost every teen has some moodiness, whether it be provoked or not, just because of their bodies changing as they grow up.

Because of this, professionals actually try to AVOID diagnosing teenagers with mental health issues, unless the idea of hormones, and medical reasons (blood problems, thyroid issues, etc.) have been eliminated, and/or they're having pretty extreme symptoms.

Yeah, but I only say that because my mom always told me it was hormones when everyone else said it was depression because she was denying the depression
