Placebo Effect. If you think it will help you it will have a better chance of helping you than rather nothing happening.

Hey,

Actually, I've heard that St.John's Wort is effective for minor depression issues, so that might be something to look into, considering it's herbal, and has a decent track record.

Remember, natural remedies don't work the same for everyone, but it's worth a try anyways.

I think that you could try them, it couldn't exactly hurt and it might actually help you if you have a set time that you know to take them, gives you something to look forward to haha. Good luck

I'd agree with this. I've had good experiences with the effectiveness of St. John's Wort (and know several other people with similar good experiences). In addition to this, you may want to consider a vitamin B supplement. It can help to even out your moods and prevent the "drop-off" feeling people sometimes get when they suddenly feel depressed for no apparent reason.

Placebo effect is a major thing to consider when treating depression. It's psycological. If fish oil is going to help you, it will help you. It's that easy. Although real medication does have some effects belief is what pushes it home.

Minor bouts of Depression aren't always caused by Environmental factors. There is also the medical factor (i.e. chemical imbalance) that can affect somebody's mood.

I don't see the harm in the OP trying a herbal remedy, which is harmless (as long as used correctly, and they're not allergic to anything in it), to help them treat their Depression.
