Unhappy Need Someone to talk to. - July 7th 2011, 01:33 AM

Hi im Dean, Ive been bottling up a lot of things and I have no-one to talk to and I dont know what to do. Im a 15 year old boy but only 4 foot 11, pale and self concious about my weight, even though my BMI is average. So you can see why im unhappy about my appearance. Ontop of that my so called "friends" talk about me, im always laughed at and insulted. And my mum and dad are split up (2 years). My mums an alcoholic, can this really get any worse. Im sick of crying every week and just getting on with it, its summer and im not even happy. Ive been feeling like this for about 2 years now. Thanks for reading.

Hey sweetie,
Sorry you're feeling so down about things.
As I'm sure you've figured out, bottling up your emotions doesn't really help anything, in fact it often makes things worse. You need to work on finding a way to express what you're feeling - writing, drawing, talking to someone, etc.
Try not to let your appearance get to you so much, you're likely to grow a bit more over the coming years.
You seem to have it already figured out that those people aren't really your "friends" if they treat you like that. You should try making new friends; you deserve to have people who will listen to you and won't do any of those horrible things to you behind your back.
As for your mom, could you live with your dad instead? Does anyone know she's an alcoholic? Do you have any other relatives you can talk to about what's going on with you?
I know what it's like to feel down, but things can get better.

Please, feel free to Private Message/Visitor Message/Add me anytime. I may not have advice for everything, but I'll gladly listen and offer support. <3
