Question New Depression - July 11th 2011, 08:42 PM

Me and my Mum are living in a difficult situation and it has resulted in me becoming depressed x I'm scared about this and the effect its having on me x i feel like crying all the time x escpecially when I think about my living conditions or the depression itself x I dont like not being in control of how I feel and how i react x I sat crying for about two hours with my mum but I know I cant always sit and cry when I'm feeling down x does anyone have any suggestions of how to deal with it ?xxx please and thank you xxx

Hi there belbee14, I'm sorry to hear about your difficult situation. Rather than dwelling on the bad parts you might try thinking of all the things you have that you and your mother are greatful for. Crying is a natural response to situations that provoke alot of emotion. You may try finding a healthy outlet for your feelings. Writing, or taking up a sport really helps me when I'm in a unhappy mood. Hope it gets better. If you need to talk feel free to PM. Hang in there.

xxunperfectxx already said this, but cying is natural. there not really anything wrong with it. i know thats probably not what you wanted to hear, though...sorry about that.

i like to cry cause it reminds me of rain... and how everything all the crap goes away after it rains. sometimes the storm goes on for so long you begin to wonder if it will ever stop... but wait it out. appreciate the rain and the fact you get to feel it, because with out it you wouldnt knew the sun or rainbows that may follow
