I understand how fustrating it must be that you feel that they are not working. However I would strongly suggest going to your dodctor and telling him/her that they are not working for you as they will have other options to try that might work.

I don't think it is good for you to go cold turkey off them.

Good luck and take care

I would talk to your doctor so you can ease off of them. It's very dangerous to quit cold turkey, and also quitting without your doctor's permission. For some people, anti-depressants just don't work, so you're not alone. But I would quit under doctor's approval.

Hey there,
As the above posters have already stated, consulting a doctor and talking with them about the fact that they don't seem to be working maybe the best thing. They can help find other alternatives.

I understand what you mean, antidepressants can make you feel like you're not fully yourself. Talk to your therapist, don't just quit taking them. Maybe you can try another drug? Or just try good old plain talking therapy?

I agree with Traci, you should try to get your doctor to ease you off of them, maybe your body just doesnt agree with them like stomachs with some foods it just happens. I hope you are on your way to solving your problem

Definitely talk to your doctor. I know it can be really bad if you go cold turkey, especially if your on a high dosage. You'll probably need to be weaned off of them (take a smaller dosage each day or so).

Anti Depressants have never really worked for me either. I'm on prozac and it either makes me feel numb, or absolutely miserable. My psychologist wants me to go off of them so she can see what i'm like without them. I'm not sure if my psychiatrist will be cool with that though...
