Denial -
August 30th 2011, 04:33 AM
Ok, so I've established that I have depression. Like, indefinitely. But it comes in waves. So once I'm off it, I think to myself "Well, I'm not sad anymore, so it must be gone." and obviously I'm wrong. I haven't got the next wave, but I got so frustrated from myself this morning that I just cried, mostly from seeing my reflection, cuz i was having like a skin thing going on. I know the way to fix it. But counselors are not an option for me right now....(no real reason why)
And on top of that I'm really lonely cuz I don't have a boyfriend..... Anyone got any suggestions? If you do not hope, you will not find what is beyond your hopes.

Well accepting it is a big step, you see you have a problem
I suggest seeing a doctor. They actually have stuff that can help regulate. But I would at least see a psychiatrist for an accurate diagnosis. Good luck dear, staystrong Just rise above this

Its really good that you can see whats going on. I would suggest having a friend or family member you can talk to if you can't see a doctor or therapist. Sometimes it can be helpful if you have a friend who knows what you are going through, cause you will be able to relate to each other and help each other through it. Medication can help alot sometimes too.
When you say it comes in waves does it coinside with anything? Like your menstral cycle or somthing? I know that might sound weird, but hormones and changes in your body can have a huge impact on your mood sometime. |

Nope, not with my menstrual cycle. Just kinda on and off, for a while I will just be really content with my life, and something will happen, like say getting really frustrated or something, and it will come back. Or if I think about of things too much...
