Crying all the time -
September 21st 2011, 04:19 AM
I need your advice.
I think I might be depressed... I read some characteristics of depression and I had quite a bit of them. Background: My boyfriend left for half a year to study overseas, towards the end he did not have a lot of time for me, and I became lonely. He is returned now and things are better, but the relationship has changed and I'm having trouble with that. Over the last few months I've been distraught all the time, every little things makes me break down in tears, and I cry, hard, until my head hurts and my eyes get all puffy. If I can't see him, or our plans change, I can't handle it. Sometimes I feel like I just want to cry and cry until I'm left empty of sad emotions. I've talked to my boyfriend and he's been very comprehensive, and has urged me to get some advice. I don't want to tell my parents because they do not believe in psychologists and the like. I want to ask you guys, what can I do to help me get out of this depressive rut, I'm tired of crying all the time for every little thing, but I feel as if I can't control my emotions ![]() |

Hey Cocho
I think you've boyfriend is totally right you need advice its seems like theres alot going on in your life and that your having trouble dealing with it. No matter what your parents believes are you need to get your self some help im not sure what country you live in but i know in Australia theres kidshelpline and Lifeline and other 24 hour phone consuling survices maybe if you cant tell your parents you could contact survices like these and get some help. But i guess the best thing you could do is try to open up to your parents maybe write them a letter and say whats been going on in your life and that you feel you need help maybe there will be understandin and get you the help you need even if its against their believes. Also next time your at the docters maybe you could talk to them i no in Australian you can ask to talk to a doctor alone and they cannot tell your parents anythin. Hope things get better for you and that i have helped you a little pm anytime if you need anyhelp luv caiti |
