Suicide help please - October 28th 2011, 07:50 PM

I don't know what to do, someone I know is trying to commit suicide, but by starving himself. He is making his family suffer and everyone else close to him. I tried to talk to him but he wont listen, he just says "no one touch my stuff when I'm gone." I don't know what to do if there is anything I can do? Being an adult, at least legally, he thinks he has the say in everything. I'm scared and so is his family. There is talk about court but maybe that is dramatic, but not as what he his doing.

Some say the world will end in fire Some say in ice
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire
But if it had to perish twice
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great And would suffice.

Crystal, who knows what's going on there. It sounds both bizarre, and a bit like emotional blackmail. But, either way, it sounds very destructive not only to himself (obviously) but also those around him. Fortunately, his parents are involved, and as a result, it's their responsibility (yes, even though he's legally an adult) to respond. When adults have lost the ability to make good decisions for themselves to the point of being self destructive, any one can step in and call the police and have him taken to a hospital for evaluation and treatment, which is what should happen here.

PM me with the link of the post you'd like me to respond to.
