Re: Just thoughts -

In a way, I'd say this is okay. See, I do that kind of thing too kinda. I have bad thoughts like that but its not constant like I don't think of falling every time I am on some stairs. I don't think of stabbing myself everytime I see a knife. Its only sometimes. These are thoughts that i've been told most teenagers do have at some point in their lives. They get them about other people too, as I have before. But they are harmless and you won't act on them. You aren't crazy or suicidal. Its a form of OCD. I think another reason why we have them is because we think about how easy it would be to do it. We don't necessarily WANT to do it, but we know we COULD. Thats what the school counceler told me when I went to her about them. But honestly, I wouldn't worry. If you ever want to talk about it, send me a PM. I know exactly how it is. Have had them for 2 years now.

hey there. Personally i don't think this is okay. You are having thoughts of killing yourself and you think about ways of doing it, alot. You also say that even though you don't have any plans to kill yourself you feel you could lose yourself in the moment and possibly act on the thoughts. I think that's a concern. No one deserves to have these thoughts, especially having them so often. Do you have any idea as to what triggers you to have these thoughts? Is there anything making you feel low, upset or angry? We're here for you if you want to talk to us. You don't have to be alone. I hope this helps a little. Look after yourself. Jessie.
