Question NUMB - January 31st 2012, 11:43 PM

This thread has been labeled as triggering by the original poster or by a Moderator. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

Okay first off listen to the song numb by linkin park in order to understand where I'm at then read the rest. You back now? Good. Ok well imagine you're a hormonal teenage girl whose mom doesn't approve of anime, the girls passion. Now imagine you have a dad who wants you to play sports. Mainly the sports he was in. Now imagine being told to play soccer and the fact that you don't want to makes you a lazy person in your dads eyes. Finally imagine you barely pass your last semester of school. You're bow in the second semester and must deal with homework every night along with practice. So put that together in your head and tell me how you'd deal with it.

I'm sorry that you are going through this. Like said above, just take it one step at a time. It's really hard when you feel like your parents don't approve of the person that you are or want to be. But have you ever talked to parents and just told them exactly how you feel and that you don't like sports and how it feels when you are pressured to do the things that they want you to do? If not, I suggest trying to explain it to them.

You have to be yourself, I'm not saying disobey your parents or anything, but make sure you stay as true to yourself as you can, until things begin to change. If they don't like it, maybe they'll "accept it."

Also, if you're having problems in school, maybe as your teacher(s) for help, most teachers are more than willing to help. Also, teachers can be good people to talk to when you are feeling the way you have been. So maybe up to one of them or a guidance counselor!

I hope things begin to look up! If you ever want to talk, feel free to PM me. (:

all i want is a place to call my own and
mend the hearts of everyone who feels alone,
you know to keep your hopes up high and your head down low.
