Question Feeling absolutely dreadful Monday mornings- how to lift my mood? - February 18th 2012, 09:00 PM

Sorry if this is in the wrong section! Also, I wasn't sure as to whether this was triggering or not, so I added the label just in case.
So I guess because of school, most Monday mornings I wake up in a VERY depressed state. I'm not bullied, though. And I know it's normal to dread school Monday mornings, but I dread it to the point where I'm feeling depressed and want to cry every minute, and start hoping I'll suddenly get sick or something and won't have to go in. Basically, do you have any advice on how to get rid of my feelings Monday mornings?

I'm sorry=( I do something kinda related to Mondays. I will never get much sleep Sunday night. Like maybe i'll get 2 hours. The rest of the time, im tossing and turning. Its only Sunday nights though. I think its just because its the day before school starts again and I dont want to go back. But like you, I dont really have a reason to not want to go back. I don't have any problems there. I just don't want to go. I think you just try to distract yourself in the mornings and tell yourself that the day will be okay. Say to yourself you will only be there for a few hours and then you get to come back home again.

Hello,
I am the same way. I hate the idea of school. Like Julia said distract yourself, maybe listen to your favorite song. Or tell yourself school will be fine, i shouldn't dread it. Think of something in your head that is a good thing about school Like getting to see friends, going to your favorite class etc...
I hope this helped.
