Sorry if this is in the wrong forum not sure where to put it.

I have my first counselling session tomorrow and could do with some advice, as the thought of going is now terrifying me

Don't worry, every one gets this Maybe looking back at this will help: 'Let your dreams be bigger than your fears and your actions be louder than your words.' Just by turning up you will feel good about yourself and its a step forwards in itself Good luck and let us know how it goes

Hi, it's completely normal to be afraid... Think that (generally) nobody likes to talk about their problems or inner feelings and it may seem weird to do it with a stranger, but that person is there to try to help you and he/she is not going to judge you or anything... The counselor will try to get you to talk and maybe help you see things in a different or broader way, but the key towards a recovery is in yourself.

Hope it goes well
