when you feel like throwing in the towel - March 11th 2012, 01:11 AM

Hon, please don't listen to the lies that are in your head. I know it's hard it really is. But you want to know why I'm not gonna do it? I promised myself that I wouldn't do it because of people I care about.
Think of at least one person who you care about and ask yourself "Do I want them to go through what i'm going through right now? If I kill myself I would make those people so depressed and possibly suicidal. Whatever I do will have a ripple effect on many lives." What if there's a girl/boy same situation same age you are we'll say when you're 25 and wants to commit suicide but YOU save her/him? But what if there is that girl/boy and (s)he's going through hell and no one (meaning you) is there for her/him so (s)he kills herself? Do you want to be the reason someone else commits suicide? You may not feel like you matter and that no one would miss you or care but I would miss you. I would care. It would matter to me! It would matter to that girl/boy in the future who's about to break. Wishing (s)he had someone to stop her/him. You could be an angel to her/him. Wouldn't that make you feel so good? That you lived and saved someone that would have ended it all without you. Just think about it. I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!

Thanks for posting this. It also made me think.<3

From day one I talked about getting out
But not forgetting about
How all my worst fears are letting out
He said, "Why put a new address on the same old loneliness?"
When breathing just passes the time
Until we all just get old and die

It's funny, I was always taught that I am responsible for my own life, and I am not responsible for what others do.

I have always hated the guilt aspect of the anti-suicide message, especially since I have a chronic, incurable, and painful illness.

Thanks for posting this. I had a conversation like this with my cousin last night and this definitely reinforced a lot of the things that she said.

wanderlust consumed her;
foreign hearts & exotic minds compelled her.
she had a gypsy soul
and a vibrant heart for the unknown.

Rosana I see what you mean but it does help to know that you have a purpose in this life. For a lot of people helping others is there purpose. And that was my point. Whether you agree or not many people are SAVED b/c of SOMEONE ELSE and their kind act.
