feeling like a dissappointment - March 16th 2012, 02:11 AM

This thread has been labeled as triggering by the original poster or by a Moderator. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

My parent want me to play a sport so I chose soccer but I didn't really want to play since that'd be a lot to do. So I play anyway but my grades fall and my mom gets mad at me wondering why I'm failing so I have to lie so she doesn't think I cant do both.

I really cant do both and the threat of dissappointing them is depressing me and stressing me out. My sanity and slowly decreasing and so is my social life. If I keep this up ill go crazy. Please someone help me.

Tell them you cannot do both! It's no so much a 'Disappointment' for them, it's an explanation. It's soccer, after all. And I'm sure good grades are more important to them.

Parents want their kids to be 'involved', to do a lot of varied things (like sports) but they also realize you have limits. They usually figure out what those are, but it's a lot easier when you guys tell them.

PM me with the link of the post you'd like me to respond to.
