just a question - March 20th 2012, 03:07 AM

I know that lots of people suffer from depression, and I know even more teenagers suffer from "my life sucks syndrome" but what legitamatly constitutes depression. At what point is a person really seriously depressed? I'm not bashing on anyone or what they've been through because I've been in a dark place recently as well. I'm just curious i guess.

feelings of hopelessness and/or pessimism
insomnia, early-morning wakefulness, or excessive sleeping
irritability, restlessness
loss of interest in activities or hobbies once pleasurable, including sex
overeating or appetite loss
persistent aches or pains, headaches, cramps, or digestive problems that do not ease even with treatment

Just rise above this
Kill them with your kindness
Ignorance is blindness
They're the ones that stand to lose

'Cause they don't even know you
All they see is SCARS
They don't see the ANGEL
Living in your heart
