That's very nice of you to do that for your friend. I'm sure that alone will make her feel a bit better because she'll know how much you care. As far as ideas for a place to go, what kinds of places does your friend like to go to? What kinds of activities does she enjoy and where can you do them?

Hey Kimberly

That is so nice of you! But make sure that you don't suffocate her. Try to understand her. Remember how you felt when people failed to understand you and keep that in mind while trying to understand her.

Keep on doing stuff for her like the card and all. Make her feel loved. Let her know that you're here for her. Share your experience with her maybe. That will help her open up more in front of you. Its little everyday things that make a lot of difference. Simply giving her flowers is a big gesture!

Now about taking her somewhere, I'll say take her for a walk. An early morning walk. Around the time when you start seeing light in the morning. Go to a garden with her and walk barefoot on the grass. It is a beautiful experience. Watch the sun rise, the birds chirp. I find it very rejuvenating. Avoid talking if possible. Just enjoy the experience.

I hope that you like it.
Take care

Depression hurts. Be there for her. Hug her randomly. Make her smile and laugh. Do everything you can to make her happy. When she cries be there, hug her, but dont say anything. Let her now your there for her, not by words but by physical actions.
