Unhappy Maybe its just me - March 26th 2012, 10:29 PM

Lately I've been really down. I think that there's something wrong with me I just don't know what. I travel days at a time constantly depressed. My "friends" don't really talk to me as much anymore. I've been really low on self confidence. I don't think I fit in. At times I have looking in the mirror because I see this big blob glaring right back at me. Im not as open as others and now its like smiling is painful all the time.

Hey there,

How do you feel right now? Are you managing to continue with day to day activities such as washing, eating, drinking, education, work, and anything else you have to do? Are you getting any professional help at the moment, and do you have a good support system at all? Is there anything that could have triggered these emotions?

It's okay to feel down. Feeling down doesn't necessarily mean there is something wrong with you, everyone feels down at times! I'd strongly recommend building up a good support system. If you're ever really struggling then you can call someone, or meet up with someone. There's a list of hotlines here, if you feel that you could call anyone. It's always worth a go! I have a few numbers saved on my phone just in case I need to speak to somebody and don't have access to the list. How about also writing up some reasons to live for the harder days? Perhaps keep a list in a notebook or something which you carry around with you at all times (even your phone).

Your friends don't sound like very good friends if they don't talk to you much. Have you tried making new friends, or confronting them about this? As I said in my previous paragraph, having a good support system could be really beneficial to you. If there any way you can try making a new start and try to open up to new people? Even if it's just saying hello to somebody you haven't spoken to before! While smiling and talking is painful, in the long run it can be really worth it! How about trying to message somebody on here, or talking in the chat room? Would that be plausible?

sounds like u need someone to talk to, your friend are wrong for not talking to you because you are depressed, thats when you need them the most. well i;m here to tell you i would me more that happy to be your friend and if you ever need to talk i'm always here
