The Alpha Dachshund - May 20th 2009, 12:10 AM

So we have a miniature Dachshund (Rusty) and he's been a very well behaved dog his whole life pretty much (on the exception of being over-dominating to one of our previous dogs) but he's an angel besides that.

However when we got our female dog Rei Rei, he's started to display alpha male traits such as marking in the house, pooping in the house, and digging out of the yard to get to other female dogs.

Rei Rei is spayed. Rusty is not neutered- we plan to get him neutered this summer, but until then, is there anyway to get him to stop peeing in the house and digging out of the yard? He's almost been run over a good couple of times and I'd hate to lose him, especially like that. He's 9 years old and is finally showing an interest in females. ><

Also, what's good way to get pee and poop stains (and smell) out of a carpet? We've already used a carpet cleaner.
