What to do now - March 13th 2017, 11:54 PM

I'm so upset because we have this nurse that comes to our house to check in on my dad and our animals are always running around, because they are playing together. We always try to put them away before she gets to our house because she doesn't like them. She comes at different times and today she told my mom that we should get rid of our two dogs and two cats because they should not be running around like this. I started crying and saying you can't take any of them away and I told her that she is a terrible person. I went to my room crying and after she left my mom said that she will not let her take them away. How can you not like animals. I don't mean to call her a terrible person. I can't lose them, I love them so much. It makes me so upset that she would think about that. I can't lose anything else in my life right now.

Unless she can prove they're a health hazard for your dad, she can't have them taken away. Even if she were to call someone like animal control, the fact that "she doesn't like them" and thinks "they shouldn't be running around' isn't a good enough reason for them to be taken away. Not everyone is an animal person, but that doesn't mean she should've said that. She was probably having a bad day or something, not that that excuses anything, but I wouldn't worry about it. Depending on your situation, you might be able to ask for a different nurse if it's bothering your family that much, but it may not be possible..

Hey Emma! I'm sorry that the nurse has said something like this, however I have some input I can give ya.
Are you able to take the animals outside while the nurse does her job? If you can't take them outside, maybe put the animals in a different room or in the garage just for the time being. Are you able to ask for a different nurse? Because that's really not nice of her to say that. It's not her house.

breathe. it's just a bad day, not a bad life.

Thank you for your help. I talked to my mom and asked if we could get a new person and we have a new nurse coming today. My mom told them what happened and they didn't like how she has been and what happened the other day. Thank you again.

I'm glad you were able to get a new nurse who will hopefully be a better fit for your situation. Since the original issue has been resolved, I'm going to close this thread. Feel free to PM me if you want it reopened, or you're welcome to start a new thread if you need.
