Pixie is in need of a sweater - November 14th 2018, 07:03 AM

It is starting to get colder and colder outside and Pixie is starting to shake. When I first got her I would put close on her but I stopped and now she hate them. But I do need a sweater for her.

So I am wondering if anyone has any suggestion, ideas, or if you have a dog any size and they wear a sweater they love and what it is, and do you know where I can buy it?

I am looking for things without a hood, and sleeves she doesn't like sleeves and I think the hood bothers her.

This is a picture of her, just in case any of you haven't seen her, it may help you to see if you have any recommendations as well.

I donít have a dog as small as yours but I do have dogs. I donít believe in dressing dogs in clothes unless itís cold or if weíll be outside for a while and the weather isnít very nice (i.e rain, snow, hail, etc). I really like chillydogs and you can buy them online at https://chillydogs.ca
I like this brand because they have options if weíre in the snow like the great white north jacket for a little while or if the snow isnít that deep. The trail blazer is good if itís cooler because itís lined with microfleece but we also have the rain slicker if itís raining but not cold per say. We also use boots for their paws as well. For the rain/mud our dogs have varying sizes of Canine Equipment Ultimate Trail Dog Boots or RUFFWEAR - Grip Trex, depending on where we are going or what weíre doing. The best ones we have for the snow are RUFFWEAR - Polar Trex.

Not sure where you live but another coat that we use if our dogs are with us when we are skiing or snow shoeing or being out for more than a couple of hours OR the snow is deep (higher than what their boots cover) is a full suit. We have this (http://www.poodleit.com/products/#!/...-Suit/p/799310) and it works wonders for keeping our dogs warm and dry. They are expensive but it is the best thing ever for what we do since we are active and spend a lot of time outside and where we live or travel can get a lot of snow. There are different sizes but you have to make sure you measure your dog correctly.

I hope this helped.

Thank you, I live I'm California so it doesn't snow or anything. So I'm only in need of sweaters. But thank you for the suggestions.

Depends on where in California. If it's 30 - 40 degrees where you live, a sweater is recommended but if it's under 30, walking them is discouraged. I haven't found a sweater for mine either and it usually doesn't go under 30 here. Petsmart or Petco usually will have them, (just not in Dobby's size, which may actually be the same as that dog.). Sometimes you can find harness that can keep them warm.

pet smart has sweaters for pixies size, and for our smaller sized dog as well. We have a sweater for her. This can be closed.
