The Fright Of My Life -
June 3rd 2009, 05:30 PM
My cat is a house cat & I live in a second floor flat.
I went to sleep 3 hours ago with my cat snuggled up to me. I woke up & the cat was nowhere. I looked everywhere in the flat. I was panicking so much because he is a house cat & not allowed out. Anyway...when I looked for him, I took a chance & went outside, & there he was by my door, absolutley petrified. & me, I cant stop shaking. My poor baby. Thank God he is ok. He must have got out the window, which is supposed to be closed when the cat is the room. I blame my support worker because I cant exactly shut a window when I am asleep

Jaymi, have you talked to your support worker about the window? He or she may need to be reminded about this. You should at least let him/her know that the cat got out.
I'm glad that you found your cat safe and sound. I have outdoor cats and they freak out when they come inside, much like your cat freaks out outside. You are really lucky that the kitty didn't run off somewhere. Be sure to have a collar with ID tags on it just in case this happens again. |

That must have been so scary. My indoor cat got out once for three days, we were so scared for him. I'm glad it turned out all right, and that he didn't go far.
Not around so much now that school's started "Live a good life. If there are gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones." Marcus Aurelius |

That happened to me one time. My kitty got up the stairs and almost out the front door. My boyfriend didn't close the door inside fully, thus she slipped out. Thank goodness the main door was shut. I think I smothered her with so much hugs and kisses, haha. :]

Oh that IS scary!
I left my back door open once, and one of my cats ran out, then the door got closed for some reason. We realized we couldn't find her about an hour or two later, we check in the backyard and she's hiding under the table on the porch...I think it's funny how she always tries to excape, but when she does she just can't handle the freedom :P hehe.I'm glad you find your kitty! |
