I think sticking with one name will help avoid confusion for your pet. For instance, I have several outdoor cats. I swear they all think their name is "Kitty". They do have individual names, but if you call here kitty kitty kitty they all come running. One of the cats is actually named Kitty.

I generally stick to 2-3 nicknames for my cats, all that have part of their real name in them. Like my cat Smog, we call him smog, mo, moggles, and mogey, and he responds to them, but if I look at him and call him Kovu he ignores me.
I say stick with calling her nicknames that part of her real name in them, as well as her name...50/50!! "It took a funeral to make me feel alive"

Wow, that's a lot of nicknames
![]() I have around three or four nicknames for my dog, but they all sound the same (like Em, Emmy, Emmers, M&M )I think that sticking to three at max. will be a lot less confusing for your pet. It kind of depends though, if you have a cat I wouldn't say it matters as much as a dog, as cats kind of roam as they please, whereas dogs need to be called by their names in order to get them to do something or walk towards you or whatever else, so it's probably not as best to have a million names that you call your dog when you're asking him do something. Stick to one name when you're commanding them to do something, I'd say. ------ Though I walk through the valley of the shadow ofAmanda Panda death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. I think stick to one or two. I have a dog called Mac, we call him Maccy-boy, Mac or "Oi! Jimmy no mates/Jimmy" :P

My friend, she calls her dog Bella (shes obsessed with Twilight), I always thought her dog's name was Bella, until she told me the real name is Ollie, but apparently her dog responds to both names.
And I will take you in my arms, and hold you right where you belong. Til the day my life is through, this I promise you.121109 |

I think you should try calling her by one name... Once she gets used to her name, maybe by then, call her whatever you like
My pet's name is Pipay (don't ask why, my sister named her. I don't get the name's meaning ) and she's used to her original name but I call her Poopaii more often and she responds to it very well. ![]() "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away."

whoa that are tons of names lol
i call my dog lots of different names too, but when i actually give her comandos i call her by her "real" name just as not to confuse her. maybe you should shorten your list a bit, especially when youre calling her. I think as long as you know that your dog knows its actual name, then nicknames are fine. My dog, Chico, responds to his name, but I also have a TON of nicknames for him. He doesn't seem to mind!
