My friend's dog has liver cancer, and is going to be put down in a few days
My friend is totally devastated. Is there anything I can say or do to comfort him, because I don't really know what to say. He's keeping it all in, but I can tell he's really hurting. Thanks in Advance |

Re: Friend's Dog -

The best thing to do is to convince him that it was necessary. He needs to know that the dog will no longer be suffering and in pain, that he made the right decision to have the dog put down. If he had waited the dog would have been in so much more pain and it's never ok to let an animal suffer. His dogs in a better place now and can finally be out of misery. This really helped my friend when she had to put her cat down from feline leukemia. She thought her cat would have hated her for doing so or that she gave up on it but I was able to convince her that her cat would be thanking her right now for her thoughtful decision.
