Insanely jealous -

My dog is an American Eskimo. He weighs about 40 to 45 pounds and is extremely jealous. He doesn't like when other people are near me and I can't even hug my own mother without him flipping out. It has got to stop. It's gotten to the point where I won't invite my friends over because he's just so jealous. I don't condone his behavior. I scold him and sometimes even muzzel him. I just don't know what else to do. I'm not babying him or spending a ton of time with him...he just sees me as his and no one else can share me.

I had a dog who did this too.
My best advice is to try and socialize him by taking him outside on walks and getting him used to you being around other people, but try your best to avoid other dogs. Once he starts seeing that you're allowed to be around people and you will still love him, he should be able to realize that you aren't just his.
