How do I convince my sister to let me get a kitten?

I've wanted a kitten for some time now, and I have asked my sister, and all I have ever gotten was a maybe. I have the money to get it food and everything, and our roommate (she has two cats, and is essentially one of my sisters closest friends) wants a kitten, but doesn't want it to be hers.

So I figure this is the perfect time, but I don't know how to convince her to let me get one.

Basically you just have to convince your sister that you're mature enough and can handle taking care of it, you have the responsibility to take care of it, to feed it, bathe it,etc., all that basics of taking care of a kitten or even better you can show her by temporarily taking care of another neighbor's cat/kitten. I hope it all works out

like aj said you need prove you responable enough to take care of a pet you sister should then have no problem letting you have a cat i hope it all works out for you.
