Sneezing Ferret - February 22nd 2010, 04:11 AM

Now, I thought I remember reading something about Ferrets sneeze a lot, because they are always so close to the ground, thus inhaling particles. Rhody usually doesn't sneeze too much, a few times a day. But today he's sneezing a lot.

I looked it up again and now I'm finding that ferrets can easily gets colds. But Rhody only sneeze. No snot. And I can't tell if he's lethargic, because he sleeps all the time anyway.

And I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but he did have his rabies shot yesterday.

Remember when we have shots? We sometimes get a little bit down too - maybe this could be something just coming out :]

Also, maybe he has been around more dust particals recently? Do you take him outside... if so, he could have had an allergic reaction to pollen or grass seeds?

If it persists for more than a week, go and get him checked out at the vets :]

I'm still alive.
Must have been a miracle
It's been one hell of a ride
Destination still unkown
It's a fact of life: If you make one wrong move with a gun to your head
You better walk the line or you'll be left for dead.

I'm a runaway train on a broken track
I'm the ticker on the bomb that you can't turn back
Thats right.
I got away with it all and I'm still alive.
Let the end of the world come tumbling down.
I'll be the last man standing on the ground
As long as hot blood runs through my veins
I'm still alive.

Hey...Ive got two ferrets. Sometimes they can catch a slight cold, or sometimes they just sneeze more. Give it a day or so. A usually good way to see if a ferret is not feeling well is to let them out and put them on the ground. Usually they take off running. If yours does not after awhile, then call a vet and at least see what they suggest.

With my ferrets, they usually sneeze a lot on some days then just stop.

So you have gray hair and you're only 25

that's just another reason I love you...
