Not again ): -
May 26th 2010, 08:42 PM
So my cat Baby died not too long ago... and I was devastated (she was a sickly cat, but lived for 9 years).
To help forget the pain, my friend asked if I wanted to take some of the kittens her cat just gave birth to. I ended up taking two of the kittens. It's been about half a year and I love them so much. But since two days ago, one of my cats has gone missing! Now those old feelings are coming back. It's horrible. ): I don't know what to do since it's never happened before. Something bad must have happened. I don't think he got ran over by a car since I don't see his body laying on the street, but he hasn't came back to even eat or drink anything. He's a really small, skinny cat and likes to get into fights. My parents kept saying he'd come back, but now I can tell they were just bluffing. Now they say, someone must have picked him up, or a dog got him. What should I do? Just keep searching the area, or just give up?? |

Cats often run of for a couple of days. One of our kittens we didn't see for 72 hours!
I wouldn't worry too much about it though. If it comes to a week, I'd start looking in the area again. Another thing that's happened to me is that a previous cat went missing and two weeks later there was a knock on the door. There were two kids holding our cat! They said that she'd been run over and they took her to the vet and looked after her for a little while. I'm sure your cat's fine. Hope you feel better soon. Falling_x So much for that idea ...

OK, thanks.
![]() My first cat was a house-cat, so this is the first time for me having outdoor animals. I wasn't sure what to think and what was normal for an animal to do. I bet someone picked him up thinking he was a stray since he doesn't have a collar or anything. |

Don't worry. I have a lot of outdoor cats (I live on a farm
) and they always disappear for a few days, then just randomly show up, wanting attention, like nothing happened.
