Tarzan Stress Issues - June 11th 2010, 11:26 PM

Soooo me and my housemate own a Syrian Hamster called Tarzan, he is absolutly adorable but he suffers extremly badly from stress when im not around. Seeing as he is going to live with my housemate over the summer does anyone have any ideas.

The first time i went way i left him for 4 days with another housemate and he had two large bald patches, these healed within a few days of me being back. This week i went away for 2 days and he has a massive bald patch but sinse being back it is becoming incresingly smaller.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated, however he can't come home with me cos of my mummys phobia ^^

Maybe leave for a few hours, then half a day, then a day etc. until he gets used to the idea. Or take him but keep him away from your mom. (In your room in the cage.)
