my mouse squeekie died today... I feel like it was all my fault. We had a heat advisory and he usually stays in the garage... (I bring him in to spend time with me) I'm ont allowed to bring the cage in th house so all day yesterday i kept giving him cool water and stuff to drink, but I still think he got too hot. I feel so bad because he would still be alive right now if I had just snuck him in or begged to let him come inside cuz of the heat...
He was the sweetest mousie ever, I miss him and I feel really bad... Like a diet of the mind, I just choose not to indulge certain appetites; like my appetite for patterns; perhaps my appetite to imagine and to dream. - A Beautiful Mind
I met Steven October 3rd, 2008. We've been practically inseperable ever since. ♥ |

It's important to remember that you did all you could do for the circumstances that were offered. I remember my mother was once caring for my half-sister's rats and left them in the car for a mere ten minutes and they overheated and both of them died. =/ And I had a close call with mine... I felt guilty for that for ages (live and learn), but in your case, there wasn't much you could do, yanno? Not if you weren't allowed to bring your mouse into the house. I realise how hard it can be to lose a beloved pet, even a small critter like a mouse. <3 Perhaps you could do a special ceremony in honour of him?
Like write a letter to his spirit/to help release his spirit? If you're into that sort of thing... Or maybe you could have a special burial. Though it's bittersweet, sometimes having those sorts of memorials can help me feel a little bit better about the situation and a little less guilty when I feel at fault. <3

agreed with above, you did the best you can. it seems you worried and gave all into the pet mouse,so don't worry. he/she was very lucky to have you/get to know you.
high hopes, squeekie is in a better place.yeah, the funeral ceremony sounds like a great idea. dedicating a day to your pet mouse. or just a special burial and thinking of those happy memories that wont ever be forgotten. Not that I'm crazy or anything, I just want some proof that death isn't the end. Not that I'm desperate, but I want to know I'll meet you someday. ![]() I need to feel free while I'm flying, safe while landing, and loved when I'm on the ground. I'm sorry for your loss, I have many small pets too so I know sometimes the little guys parting hurts just as much as if they were dogs.
Remember, its not the size of your pet that matters, only the size of the life in them Again, sorry for your loss *hug* Look a rattata!!!! |
