Pet Birthdays - May 5th 2011, 10:57 PM

Today is my dog's twelfth birthday, and she's still healthy and adorable as ever. We spoiled her by getting her a full grooming and a (human) fast food kid's meal.

So I'm curious. Do you celebrate your pets' birthdays? Do you even know them?

My dog's birthday is April 23rd and we used to celebrate pet's birthdays when I was younger. Now we don't do much, maybe give them an extra treat or let them stay in our rooms longer but nothing too big.
Glad to year your dog is doing well

Me and my mom are very forgetful about my dogs birthday we've never really done anything special for him. I've never exactly had a pet long enough to know when it's birthday is except for this one my dogs birthday is either in June or July but this year I'm marking it on my calendar so I know what day it is.

Thats really cool how you celebrate your dogs birthday she must have really loved that kids meal.

Awww, Happy Birthday to your doggy.

Usually on our dog's birthdays they get a trip down to the ice cream store for a vanilla cone (their favorite).

Nina, our shepherd, has a birthday coming up on the 24th. She's a purebred so we actually know her birthday. But we had to make up a birthday for Jade, our mix from the pound. We made it Christmas Eve. Our other dog, who passed last year, had a birthday on the Fourth of July. And our cat's made-up birthday is Easter. I made my ferret's birthday October 30th, Devil's Night, because he's crazy and kind of evil. xP Their birthdays are easier to remember that way.

My dog's birthday is on April 18.
This year I just got him a new toy and some cookies.

When I was younger we usually just gave them wet food instead of dry food as a special treat.

This year, we got a new dog though. He's so cute Anyways, I want to throw him a party His birthday is 2 days before my dad's birthday so I want to have a joint birthday party. And there will be special cupcakes for the dogs I'm hoping it'll actually happen though My dad isn't to fond of the thought of sharing a birthday party with our dog

I don't recall ever really celebrating pets birthdays.

But it's cool that you do :]

I don't remember the exact dates, but no we don't do anything special. It's not like we spoil them anymore then they already are, I actually don't think we could spoil them anymore then they already are. It's not like they control us but we let them get away with a lot.
