Today I had to put down my almost 15 yr old golden retriever Blue! He got sick a day ago and lost control of his back legs, we couldn't let him suffer anymore so we had him put down. Ive had him since I was 3 and he was 2. He was a very special dog, we used to take him to retirement homes for the people to pet him. He also loved apples he would stand on his hind legs put his front paws in the apple tree and pick and eat the apples, he also picked the black berries off the bush and ate them too. He wouldnt play with toys, other than apples. He was the only dog Ive ever had, I can't remember life before him. I miss him soo much Sleep well Blue...

Feel free to PM or VM me

Hi Sarah,

I'm sorry to hear about Blue, I know how hard it is to have to have a pet put down but at least he's in a good place now and I'm sure that he had a very happy life with you as his owner. It's natural that you're going to miss him now and even when you're older you will probably still miss him but it does get easier as time goes on.

Try to think of all the good times you had with him and if you need any support then just PM me, take care

Having to put a dog to sleep is really hard, but I think it was for the best. It's not well to make the dog suffer, even though it's very hard to do so. If it makes you feel any better, I think you made the right decision. When I had to put down my dog a few years ago, I felt like it was all my fault she was gone, even though like your dog, she didn't have much control in her legs and the vet said she was basically brain dead.

I know how much you miss Blue, but you'll survive. she's in a better place now, whatever you believe that better place may be. Just remember all the good times you had, and how amazing a life Blue had.

Take me seriously.
I dare you.
