Question One foot raised? - November 26th 2011, 07:26 PM

My Cockatiel which you may have seen in some of my fiance (.TJ.) posts, since he has started talking (we have been teaching him Hello, I love you, and a lot of different sounds) sometimes he will get into his talking sessions and just talk and talk and talk and when he gets REALLY into it he will raise one foot in the air while talking.

I'm not sure why he is doing this, I'm not really worried about it but I talked to my mom (she used to train birds) and she said that it could just be him getting into it or it could be easier for him to talk that way but if I was really worried I could look it up. Well I did, and I can't find anything on it, I was just wondering if anyone knew what it was?

Thank you.

I think birds do this sometimes in excitement. Like, how little kids jump around when excited, some birds will just randomly do silly things. I've seen birds do this too in the store when I was getting mine. Maybe it's to sort of reach out to you, like saying "hey come closer so I can step onto you!!"

Take me seriously.
I dare you.
