Unhappy I dont know whats wrong with my dog :( ... - December 1st 2011, 06:46 AM

Today my dad came in my room and asked me what was wrong with the dogs tail and I didnt know what he was talking about until I looked at her. Where her tail starts and then comes out she has like a little divot and then her tail curled up and she's constantly wagging it. Today where the divot is its more shallow then before and her tail is completely limp she wont wag it and she's having trouble sitting ....... She is an older dog, shes 10. I dont know whats happening to her and its scaring me and making me sad. Can someone give me an idea of what could be wrong if they ever heard of this?

p.s
my mom said if its not better within a few days shes taking her to the vet.

Sounds like she could possibly have never damage going on, or something in the rear of her could be broken, But I wouldn't wait a few days and I would get her to the vet.

We took her to the vet tonight and it was a nerve thing in her tail that is common with labs, and they also popped her anal glands. Shes doing a lot better and they gave her anti-inflamitory for the discomfort in her tail. Thanks for the advice it was spot on and much appreciated!

Can you see any wound or swollen around that area.I think it's better to see a vet.If she can't sit definitely something wrong with her tail.
