Unhappy Almost three years. Help. - July 16th 2012, 04:04 PM

Hi, I have been utting myself since sixth grade and I'm now going into eight grade. My parents really expect too much of me and treat me like I am an adult and yell at me I I get a C+ on a grade or do one little mistake. I am the middle child out of my two sisters and my parents coddle my younger sister and my parents don't car about my older sister. I always end up doing all of my little and older sister chores because they won't do them and they never pay attention to anyone but my little sister. This causes me great pain do I cut myself. I don't have a lot of trust in people and have never told anyone. Please help.

Hi beautiful. I know exactly how you feel! I have a younger brother and an older sister and the same thing happened to me. I also began self harming and it lasted for 3 years. The feeling of having nobody there for you is probably the worst feeling in the world. It causes you to bottle up your feelings and gives you more anxiety, so when you finally do come to a breaking point it's a lot worse. Listen to me, I'm here for talking! Message me or e-mail or whatever you like and I'll listen to your problems <3 promise. As much as you don't believe it the things you do don't go un-noticed.

Im sorry everything is so hard right now. Maybe talk to your parents. Just be honest how you feel about them treating you this way. If that goes okay, then try to tell them about the cutting. if its too hard to talk about write a note. If you need to talk to someone before your parents maybe a guidance counsellor or a hotline. It maybe hard but its better for someone to know. Here is the Alternatives sticky. It has things you can do instead of self harm when you get an urge. If one doesn't work try another(there are plenty of them). Hope this helped. Im here if you ever need to talk. <3

From day one I talked about getting out
But not forgetting about
How all my worst fears are letting out
He said, "Why put a new address on the same old loneliness?"
When breathing just passes the time
Until we all just get old and die
