I slipped up - September 25th 2012, 09:45 AM

Before, I was doing so well!!

I had gone 5 months without self-harming and that was my first real time of giving it up.

And then I scratched on the 7th - which isn't my way of self-harming, but I considered it self-harming because it was with the intention of harming myself - and I was like, 'It's ok, it's only a minor slip-up, you can still do this.'

And then I self-harmed yesterday. By cutting.

I told my boyfriend, but that didn't really help, it just made me feel more guilty, even though we spent about an hour talking about it.

And I told my mum that I was having 'thoughts' but hadn't done anything.

The weird thing is, is that I feel no urge to stop. I only felt guilty when I told people.

I don't know. Should I feel guilt? Is there something wrong with me? Because I was fine with doing it before I told people.

I'll just have to see where it goes from here I suppose.

And she turns up the music, to drown out her life.

22/12/2014 was the last date I self-harmed. The longest I have gone so far is 1 year, 2 months and 5 days. This time, I hope I can give up! New record: 1 year 6 months! Yay!!

Hey there,

There is no reason why you shouldn't pick yourself up, dust yourself off and continue the walk, to be free of self harming again. You've done so well, and I"m sure you can make it if you try just that little bit harder. You can make it, the reason you feel guilty is probably because you don't want them to worry about you. But I don't know your history, There is NOTHING wrong with you, hun, keep fighting.

My blog is open to all, those whom are easily triggered avoid, it's a story about a girl and her life and how far she has come over the years. If you read it, I hope it inspires you to keep fighting and to NEVER give up!

When you can no longer think of a reason to continue, you must think of a reason to start over.
