Just a thought - May 10th 2013, 12:14 PM

I've gone 1 month and 1 day without cutting.. To me this is huge. I stopped on my own, and I didn't label it as "stopping." I'm not hell bent on trying to stop, I just haven't had a good reason to cut. I tell myself I can cut, still have the razors, but I haven't. For that I think I'm stronger. To be honest, I love it. There's not a day that I don't think "I want to cut." I want to cut, but not near as bad as I had to a month ago.
If you want to stop, you can (: remember the date you last cut. Aim to keep that number going higher away from that date.
Mine was April 9, 2013. I'm not aiming for a lifetime of not cutting, I'm going day by day. I can take that just one day at a time. And if I relapse, that's ok, it's a new date. I'm not going to beat myself up over that because then ill just think I'm a failure and that I can't do it.
But I can. We all can. (:

I think this is a good attitude because relapses do happen at times and if you beat yourself up for that you are going to end up having a harder time stopping. Keep on going because you can beat this.

Taking things in smaller 'bite sized' steps is a better way to go about it and I'm glad to see you found a way that is working for you. Keep up the good work and good luck.

I'm proud of you for taking things slow, having that attitude, and making it a month! That is a great job.
