can't be alone anymore - September 3rd 2013, 08:48 AM

Hi everyone, sorry I just got this. I haven't self harmed in about a month but right now I really need to. Last summer I started to abuse drugs and self harm and it got to the point where in March I got sent to a mental hospital for 5 weeks. I came out and switched schools. I like my new school but there is this one girl who makes me want to cut every day because the things she does to me. Because of her I have cut in my school bathroom and I actually am starting to think about suicide again. It is 3;30 am here and I have no one to talk to and having someone right now would mean a lot. if anyone reads this.. thank you i just feel completely alone and weak.

hi there
sorry there wasn't a reply earlier, i hope we can still help you
i want to remind you that you ate never truly alone, and you can speak to anyone you need to. I cone on here every few hours so if you'd like to speak to me, I'm here
stay strong girl, you can get through this! Take a look on the self harm alternatives page and try using them, there's plenty of different things to try and things that work for some people don't work for others so don't give up if the first thing you try doesn't work for you
it's great that you've managed a month so far, it really is! You can work towards next month too, which I'm sure will just fly by

but once again, you're never alone.
stay strong

Firstly, welcome to TeenHelp! Second, I'm really sorry that you're going through a rough time because of someone at your school. Remember that you must never go through such a thing alone. Have you told anyone at your school about this one particular girl? If you haven't it might be a good idea to. If you can, find a teacher you enjoy having lessons with, a nurse, guidance counsellor or even a bully co-ordinator if you have one at your school. Tell someone, even if it's a friend or a member of your family. You've been doing so well in progressing, don't let her be the one to pull you down.

As Charlie mentioned there are alternatives to self-harm which can be found here: http://www.teenhelp.org/forums/f12-s...ves-self-harm/ Take a look through them and if you feel the urge to self-harm, use one of those great alternatives to help you through it. Not all alternatives work for everyone but it's a matter of finding what is right for you. You might not find any of the things on that list are particularly helpful. You might find a lot of them are. If you find you're still struggling, remember again that you must tell someone.

You said that you're starting to think about suicide again. I'd like to guide you to a helpful link on reasons to live: http://www.teenhelp.org/forums/f11-d...-reasons-live/ It's very good and may help give you some encouragement when you're going through a rough patch. If you haven't spoken to a family member or a close friend, you have us here at TeenHelp who are willing to sit and lend an ear or provide you with some great support and advice when you need it the most. If you feel you don't want to write things down on the forums you can either PM a member or a member of staff, even use the HelpLINK and/or LiveHelp systems associated at the top of each page.

Don't give up hope! Tell someone about how you feel and let them help you help yourself.

Life is for living, not for losing.
