Smile Update (didn't know where to put this specifically) - November 26th 2013, 04:16 AM

Holy shit I haven't been on here in a while. In case anyone was wondering, even though I'm sure nobody was, I've been really fucking good. I had my time with self-harm and depression, suicidal thoughts, etc, and I'm happy to say it's really over and has been for a while. I met someone and we've now been dating for almost exactly two months, I haven't self-harmed in at least 6 months (i don't even know how long at this point), and everything is great. I really am posting this to show for everyone that, despite how hopeless you can feel (and yes, everyone says this, I know), it does get better. If anything, please read this and at least hear what I'm saying, whether you choose to actually listen or not. I got better after feeling like I was completely worthless, I was fucked in this world, nobody cared. But I found someone who cared and realized how great life really is. It's not worth it to spend your time on this planet sad and alone, hurting yourself to get away from it. Believe me, I know how you feel. But it will get better, even if it doesn't seem like it will. You just need to be strong, keep your head up, and fuck anyone that puts you down, is a douchebag, and doesn't appreciate you for who you are. You're amazing and deserve to be here, fuck the people that say otherwise. BE HAPPY. It's worth it, trust me.

Open your mind before your fucking mouth

This is so great to hear! I love being able to read about people feeling better because it shows people that there is hope and we don't have to drown in our sorrows. Congratulations! Keep up the happiness!!!

I'm glad you've improved, this will motivate many of us to want to recover even more than we already do. Enjoy a self-harm free life!

See you around,
~Jack.

PM/VM Me if you need any sort of help, I welcome ANYONE who wants to talk.

I'm really glad to hear this! I have never seen you on TH, and you seem like a really awesome person. Thank you for posting this, really inspirational and someone might need to hear this. Hope you continue this path.

From day one I talked about getting out
But not forgetting about
How all my worst fears are letting out
He said, "Why put a new address on the same old loneliness?"
When breathing just passes the time
Until we all just get old and die
