Kill me. - January 30th 2014, 11:07 PM

I gave in and cut. I'm digusted with myself. I hate myself. I threw the blades away but I wanna do it. I didn't tell my family, I can't deal with it. They didn't really do anything last time. I'm scared to tell my boyfriend, if I tell him how I feel he'll just think I being silly. I told my best friend and she's so supportive, love her (: as much as people say all this nice stuff, I'm not happy with myself. I just wish I was pretty and skinny.. But I'll never be.

Hey there,

It can be really hard when you have a slip up but beating yourself up about this is not going to help make anything better. The truth is that relapses happen sometimes and the best thing to do is to pick yourself up and try again.

Do you know what triggered this relapse? If you can work on identifying the things that triggered this relapse you could probably help yourself work on trying to find the proper coping skills to deal with this specific trigger. Something that might help you identify the trigger is is writing things down.

I think it is great that you were able to talk to your friend about this because that means that you have some support while dealing with all of this. I know you don't want to open up to your boyfriend about this but don't you think he would want to be there to try and support you through all of this? It might be hard to open up to him but if you do you might find that you have one more person to lean on for support.

Have you ever looked at the Alternatives to Self Harm if not I suggest you look at that link and go down the list and try some of the things. The alternatives can be really helpful when it comes to combating the urges you might get.

I really hope that this helped and I am wishing you the best of luck.
