Exclamation Methods to hide scars? - April 26th 2015, 06:05 AM

Hello!
In a week I will be going on a trip and will be swimming at a pool and although I wouldn't worry about my old white scars that are faded, months back I relapsed and now theres three longgg thick pink/reddish scars that stand out among them. Is there any way to waterproof ways to conceal these?... it is on my thighs.
I'm so angry at myself because I'd have no trouble if these ones were not there!!

To be honest I don't think you need to hide them I doubt anyone will notice them and if they do they probably wont bring them up.

But here is a couple:
waterproof concealer
water proof bandages or gauze and tape if they are together and just say you have a big scratch
wear board shorts over your bathing suit bottoms.

Don't lose who you are, in the blur of the stars
Seeing is deceiving, dreaming is believing,
It's okay not to be okay
Sometimes it's hard, to follow your heart
Tears don't mean you're losing, everybody's bruising,
Just be true to who you are

Frankie gave good suggestions. Board shorts are great, and I highly suggest them. I've used them during the summer for the past few years. If board shorts don't cover your scars, you can also go to the other section of the store and try some longer swim shorts. You can invest in a waterproof concealer and use a foundation too. I know it's easier said than done, but try not to be mad at yourself for relapsing. It's part of recovery, and it just shows that you can go a long time without self-harming! All of your progress is still there.
