Smile (Support Post) Don't give up! - April 28th 2017, 04:57 PM

I know there is a counter system for most of you fighting with self harm. And I know how bad it feels like when you had to reset it everytime. You might think you are not recovering and its back to zero again.

But I want to tell you that its not. You had made a huge progress all these while! I know how you might have felt.

First, you made the brave decision to stop self harm and had fought so hard to not do it anymore. You've told yourself you will not do it anymore. But someday the urge of self harm returned and haunts you again, and before you are clear enough to realize it, you've done it. At this point, you feel like you've failed.

But its not.

Every single time you relapse, you know more about what triggers you to self harm. You learn more about how you can fight the urge. You learn that you can push your limits further everytime and make new acheivements. It matters. Everyday that you didn't do it matters, and they are acheivements that nothing can replace it.

You are not back to zero again. In fact you are right in between of the self harm free journey. Its tough, you might relapse even a few more times. But I know you will be free from self harm again. You will be at the end of the journey, looking back all the effort you had made to this day where you are completey free from self harm. This is what will happen on you, don't give up!

All of you are doing great. Keep going, and don't give up! You can be self harm free again.

Do my best at everything I can to live a happy, perfect life.

Happy life won't come by being happy everyday. Struggle and always work hard.

Forgive other's imperfection, they will work hard about it once I point it out to them, just like what I should be doing.

On the other hand, never tolerate with my own mediocrity. Never slack and always strive improvement.

Never settle. Never give up.

This is very true, and the support means a lot. I bet it will lift up many who are struggling right now.

Cheers, mate. Plenty of people need to read this.

And remember - just because you failed this time, doesn't matter all your successes up until now are gone as well. They're still important and still as much of a reason to be proud of yourself.

Keep going. You'll get there one day.

The risk I took was calculated, but boy, am I bad at math.
