I feel like I finally won something. after a year of not cutting my wrists, my parents finally agreed to let me get a skin graft(did I spell thet right?) At first, they were super against it. they had said no, it costs too much, bla bla bla... I have to pay for some of it, but they agreed to pay for most of it, as my birthday is soon. It's reall great, and I am super happy. people won't judge me no more!

Re: skin graft - August 12th 2017, 05:11 AM

I have considered skin grafts for my scars at one point in time. However, it is quite expensive and I am unsure if it would be able to cover my scars since they are so extensive and deep. I think it is great that your parents are allowing you to do this. It can definitely be hard to walk around with scars. I have been self harming since I was 12-13 and I have been covering my scars since then which is over 10 years. I have only recently gotten to a point where I don't cover my scars in public and it's quite obvious that people are staring. So, I would definitely love to have a way to cover them.

Do you know how long it will take before you will be able to get it done?

I hope it goes well!
