Sinking Again - November 16th 2017, 03:19 AM

So I've been about three years without self harming, but here lately it's all I think about. I had a FWB but he moved and then I tried to be with this guy that I worked with and had developed feelings for him but he ended it saying that I had too many issues. Counting that July marked a year since me and my ex broke up. I've also bombed two classes this semester, and on top that my social anxiety and depression has been worse than ever. Its too the point where I just want to give up and give in and cut again. I'm trying so hard not to but I can feel myself slipping more and more every day.

Three years without self-harm is a really long time, congratulations on going for so long. Hopefully you are proud of yourself for that because it can certainly be a tough battle.

It seems like there is a lot going on in your life right now and it is understandable for you to feel low given all of that. It is unfortunate that someone you cared about moved and it must have hurt when someone else said you have too much issues. The right friend or partner will stay by your side when you're struggling and perhaps this guy didn't feel strong enough to do that.

Given that the semester is coming to a close for many people it seems like it is probably too late to turn your grades around but do you know what was difficult in these classes so you know for next time? Does your school have any help you can utilize such as tutoring or a math/writing center?

Do you remember any reasons or alternatives that worked well for you in the past? Maybe you can try those. It is easier said than done but try not to throw in the towel just yet. Refraining from self-harm during a difficult time like this will only make you stronger.

Hi,
I am so sorry that you are having a hard time with this right now I hope you will be ok soon. Hugs.
I also think that three year's of self harm is amazing thing and you should be so proud of yourself. Because you going that long is amazing thing, even being upset try to be happy about that.
When things go wrong what's when you get the feeling to do this and what did you do to take you're mind off of this to help you be okay and not self harm before? You can also try going for a walk, putting on funny movies or TV shows to makes you laugh or are you able to call a friend or family member about this for help too? You can also hold a hot or cold drink in you're hand or an ice cube to get you're mind off of this feeling as well.
I am sorry that you are having a hard time with school too are you able to talk with you're school counselor or teacher and see if you can get extra help? You can also talk to you're school counselor about self harm too. Also you said that you're boyfriend broke up with you and I'm sorry about that too, and I hope that you will be ok soon. Try to do things that will help pick you up, being with friends or walking, anything. Lots of hugs.
