Rosie, I'm really sorry that you are confused right now and that you don't know what to do. If you don't even know how to control your urges, how do you think your mother knows how to help you? You need to tell her what you are thinking, what you need her to do for you. If you need to talk to her about something that is making you want to cut, then tell her you need to talk. She's not a mind reader. She doesn't know how to handle cutting. She's probably just as scared as you are.

Rosie, it is amazing that you haven't cut for nearly a year. Think about what an accomplishment this is. Remind yourself of how you don't want to break that, you want to keep going. Use things like alternatives to help cope with your urges. Read a book, write in your blog, call a friend. Do something to get your mind off your urges. I know you can do this.
