back in the hole? - January 18th 2009, 10:03 PM

oh so i just relapsed for the first time, but i really couldn't tell you why. I just missed doing it, i really didn't have a reason. I can't remember the last time i cut, but i know its been a while. I used a bobby pin (sorry if i can't say that), and there aren't many of them and there not deep, but iv never cut with out a specific cause. so im wondering, doe's this mean i'm starting over again? like, am i back to square one?

It's ok that you relapsed...its very hard to quit, trust me, I know. That's what happened to me when I just started high school. I had been cut free for 3 years, and then I just started all over again. It's all part of the healing process.

The next time you feel the urge to cut, distract yourself. Cook, clean, watch TV, make a movie, call a buddy...anything that will keep you from cutting again. That's what I do and so far it's helped loads, even if it's only been 3 days since I've last cut. Just do that and you'll be a-ok for now =)

And if you ever need someone to talk to, I'm here. =)
