make up or wrist bands.

You should check out this article.

It's got lots of good tips to cover up scars. Things like fish net arm bands, arm warmers, chunky watches etc.

Remember though, you don't have to hide who you are. You are a very special person and no matter what other people think or say, you will always be special.

Hi there Kayla,

The article that Adam has linked you to is particularly helpful for cover-up tips and most ideas are covered there, in particular the ideas of using make-up and bracelets/wristbands may be particularly helpful to you - however, please try to avoid using make-up if your cuts are still open or if there's a chance that they're going to get infected. I'd recommend perhaps using clothing/bracelets until your cuts are healed well. Otherwise, you don't have to cover-up at all if you're comfortable with that, Kayla.

As Katie has said, I would also recommend that you do try and stop self-harming (though it is understandable if you have had a slip-up). Trying to make up a list of alternatives or even printing out the alternative sticky we have [here] may be helpful to you, getting rid of any specific self-harming 'tools' you may have is also a good idea, if you're comfortable with that.

As the cover-up tip article has an abundance of ideas, I'll close this now. Please PM me if you'd like it re-opened, or feel free to make another thread.
Take care.
