Question nerve damage in my arm??? - September 29th 2009, 04:01 AM

Okay so this summer i was self harming SO MUCH. ITS WAS GETTING OUT OF HAND. Well right in the middle of june i took scissors and didnt think they were that sharp and cut deep on my arm. it hurt and was sore for many weeks and it took that long for it to heal. Well not it is September and i have a big scar on my arm. but the things is when i touch or rub my left arm it doesnt hurt at all. But when i even touch a tiney bit or rub my right arm half of the whole intire part of the arm hurts. Cud this be nerve damage? I bled quite a bit.

But anyway. Do i have nerve damage? Its not really bad pain or anything but should i go and have it checked out by a doctore to see what we can do for it? im just wondering.

Met you from a tie between u and me buddy,
Saw you from my wired eyes with a twisted little lie, and my mind told me negative when i had a wish to own you with my heart, buddy and you split like twigs, senses told her i fell for him, and she told me "i loved him, and go get him" And while i said "negative he said "correct" <3

Me and ? = 3 days which =correct

I don't know why this is in mental health.
You can damage nerves by cutting too deep, my friend did a long time ago but I don't know how you would be able to tell. His problem now is that he doesn't have full range of motion on two of his fingers because of where on his arm he cut.
Suppose if you're worried you should go to a doctor. Sorry I can't be much more help.

There are numerous tests to see if you have nerve damage and you can indeed cause nerve damage by cutting too deep. You said it doesn't hurt if you touch or rub the arm but can you feel anything even if it's not painful? Or is it that it just doesn't hurt when you rub the arm?
