Everytime I wear a to write love on her arms jacket or shirt anything having to do with them i feel like such a hypocrite. Especially when I have cuts I cant even wear them because I feel so bad about it.

Does anybody else feel like that?

I don't wear anything like that but I don't think you're a hypocrite for doing so. You're helping to spread awareness and that's good.

I don't think you are being hyprocritical at all. You are supprting the cause, spreading awareness about it, and even helping yourself by wearing them. I have a TWLOHA shirt and wanted one even when I was struggling with self-harm. I think its good you are wearing them and keep fighting to beat SH. Good luck.

That is what I thought about 8 months ago. When my arms were a mess and I wrote love on my arms and wore the shirts. It is okay. You are showing what you believe in and support. Don't worry about what other people think or if its hyprocitical. It is totally okay.

I've seen that post card. To be honest, I have a hard time wearing my TWLOHA stuff with fresh cuts. It just makes me feel bad. Whenever I have on one of their shirts, I just can't cut that day. It just doesn't feel right. Wearing them with cuts on my arms makes me feel like I've let down so many people.

I have two of them, and yeah i do feel like a bit hypocritical by wearing one, But TWLOHA is all about raising awareness about SH and addiction, and depression etc, so by wearing one, even with cuts and scars, you're showing, you aren't afraid, and us self harmers have the right to wear the shirts too =]

^ she's right. we can wear them too... we're showing that we're not all freaks and weirdoes... we're normal people, with normal lives... who just don't deal with things in the correct way all the time...

we're spreading awareness through this. we're showing that there are people around us hurting... and hurting so bad they'll go to any length to drive the pain away. i know people who don't understand why the hell i would hurt myself... and it kills inside for them to not understand... but maybe we can lower the number of people who don't understand through the shirts and their message.
