my friend.. -

my friend texted me today asking me if i was hurting myself again.
i told her no. but, i left out the part that i was thinking about it. i am too stressed for my own good. idk if i should tell someone. cuz last time i did, i got locked up in the hospital for 6 days. :/ between being asked by my psychiatrist to file a restraining order against my ex, to being stabbed in the back by many friends, to remembering the past, all the way up to deciding on what to do for school. i hate all this stress that's taking over my life. i just wanna be a normal girl without any worries, but that's too much to ask. my question here is, should i tell someone i'm having thoughts about cutting?

Yes, you should, if there is someone like your friend who is genuinely concerned. I'm sure your friend would be willing to help you conquer the feelings you're having about hurting yourself.

You should definately tell someone you trust that you're thinking about cutting. They want to help you, they're worried for you, and even if they never find out, you aren't letting them in. It's not exactly helpful, and it doesn't feel good.
Try not to tell someone who'll try to lock you up in the hospital again, but definately tell someone who can help you. Maybe you can even start a treatment program instead? Have you ever thought about being hospitalized for it so that you can learn to deal with your addiction and really break it? |

Yes but being hospitalized will make everything more difficult, so I'd prefer not to if I can avoid it.
